Terms of use
These terms apply when you use avrotrade.com and any service we provide on it (together, the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Who we are
The site is run by Avro Trade (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@avrotrade.com.
2. What the site is, and what it isn’t
- Avro Trade is a price comparison and information service. We help you find parts and materials and compare offers from merchants, retailers and marketplaces.
- We don’t sell products. When you buy, you buy directly from the merchant, on the merchant’s own terms. Your contract, payment, delivery, returns and any warranty are between you and that merchant, and any problem with an order must be taken up with them.
- The site is pre-launch. Examples on it are illustrative, use fictitious merchants and prices, and are not offers. Features described as “coming later” are plans, not commitments.
3. Prices, stock and product information
Prices, stock, delivery and product details come from merchants and other third parties and can change at any time. We show when information was last checked, but we can’t guarantee it is accurate, complete or current. Always check the price, stock and product details on the merchant’s site before you buy. The merchant’s own listing is what applies to your purchase.
4. Compatibility and safety
- We match products using identifiers such as part numbers and barcodes, and we show where compatibility information comes from. It is still your responsibility to confirm a part is right for the job before you buy or fit it, using the manufacturer’s documentation where needed.
- Work on gas appliances must only be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Electrical and other regulated work must comply with the relevant regulations and building standards.
- Information on the site, including anything suggested by AI-assisted features, is general information and not professional, technical or safety advice.
5. How results are ranked, and how we make money
Results are ranked by the option you choose, such as cheapest, fastest or nearest. We may earn commission or fees when you click through or buy, and some placements may be paid for; paid placements are always labelled and never change the order of the results you asked for. 6. Using the site properly
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, copy or extract content or data from the site by automated means, or build a database from it;
- interfere with the site’s security or operation, or try to access areas or data you aren’t authorised to;
- reverse engineer, copy or resell the site or any part of it;
- submit false, misleading or someone else’s details, or use the site for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
- introduce viruses or other harmful code, or overload the site.
We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.
7. Our content and brand
The site’s design, text, software, logos and the Avro Trade name belong to us or our licensors. You may view and use the site for your own work. Anything else, including reproducing it or using our brand, needs our written permission. Merchant names and trade marks belong to their owners.
8. Links to other sites
The site links to merchants and other third-party sites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, products, availability or how they use your data. Their own terms and privacy notices apply.
9. Availability
The site is provided free of charge and “as is”. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time and don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
10. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
- Because we don’t sell products, we are not responsible for products you buy from merchants, or for their price, quality, safety, delivery or suitability.
- If you use the site for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Subject to the points above, our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to £100.

12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we launch new features. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
13. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
