Who we are
Avro Trade runs avrotrade.com, a price comparison service for UK trades that is not launched yet. For the details you give us when you sign up for early access, we are the data controller. Contact us at hello@avrotrade.com.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, trade and the first part of your postcode.
- If you choose to tell us: your business type, team size, monthly spend on materials, where you buy materials, company name and mobile number.
- Your consent choices, the version of this notice you saw, and when you signed up.
Why we use it
- To contact you about early access and the launch, because you asked us to.
- To decide which merchants and areas to launch with first.
- If you ticked the feedback box, to invite you to give feedback on the product. You can say no at any time.
We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for other companies’ marketing.
Our legal basis
- Emails about early access and feedback invitations: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Using sign-up details to plan where and with which merchants to launch: our legitimate interest in launching a service that works for the people who asked for it.
Who processes it for us
Our website and database are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes data on our behalf under a contract that requires it to keep it secure. Cloudflare Turnstile also checks the sign-up form for bots: it looks at your IP address and technical signals from your browser at the moment you sign up, and we don’t keep them. Where data is processed outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires. We don’t share your details with merchants.
How long we keep it
Until early access has run its course, or sooner if you ask us to delete it. If you go on to create an account, we will tell you how account data is handled at that point.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@avrotrade.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
